Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate live-in, full-time carer to provide personalised support for an 82 year old lady (family member) with reduced mobility. This role is from Monday to Friday and staying overnight during the week, in the same apartment in your own room with a shared bathroom.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, ensuring safety, and promoting wellbeing within a home care setting. This role requires a caring attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage care plans effectively.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with personal care routines such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Supporting mobility and ensuring safety during daily activities
- Administering medication as per prescribed care plans
- Preparing nutritious meals tailored to dietary requirements
- Managing household tasks to maintain a clean and comfortable environment, including laundry
- Providing companionship and emotional support to foster wellbeing
- Communicating effectively with family members regarding care needs and progress
- Staying overnight during the week
Experience
- Previous experience in home care or working within a care home environment is preferred
- Experience in providing personal assistance and supporting elderly individuals with specific health needs
- Proficiency in English for clear communication
- Strong communication skills to liaise confidently with family members, healthcare providers, and other professionals
