As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life of our client by delivering person-centred care in the comfort of their own home. You will support daily living activities while promoting dignity, independence, safety, and respect at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and daily routines in accordance with the care plan.
- Prepare meals and provide support with eating and drinking where required.
- Administer or assist with medication in line with company policies.
- Maintain effective communication with the client, family members, and healthcare professionals.
- Accurately document care provided using the company's care app.
- Encourage social interaction and support the service user with daily activities.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Carry out housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment.
- Accompany the service user to appointments or outings where required.
Skills & Experience Required
- Good communication skills (spoken and written English).
- Previous experience in a care role is preferred.
- A caring, compassionate, and reliable nature with a genuine passion for supporting others.
- Ability to build trusting relationships with clients and their families.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to follow care plans.
- Enhanced DBS preferred. If you do not have one, we can assist you with the application.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is an advantage but not essential.
