Role Overview
The Quality Apprentice will support the promotion and implementation of quality practices and governance across the organisation. The role involves working collaboratively with internal departments such as Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Service Delivery, as well as external stakeholders including customers, suppliers, and certification bodies.
The apprentice will contribute to ensuring compliance with quality standards, driving continuous improvement, and supporting the development of robust quality systems.
Key Responsibilities

Support the implementation of quality systems and governance practices across the organisation

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver quality objectives

Collect, analyse, and interpret quality performance data

Conduct audits and inspections of products, processes, and systems
-
Investigate quality issues within production, warehousing, and customer feedback
-
Assist with accident, incident, and hazard investigations
-
Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
-
Create and communicate quality alerts
-
Support customer, supplier, and certification body visits
-
Promote continuous improvement initiatives across the business
-
Measure and analyse products during production
-
Support training and development of employees in quality practices
Training and Development
You will undertake the Level 4 Quality Practitioner Apprenticeship, including:

ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification
-
Risk management and supplier performance training
-
Measurement systems analysis
-
Quality control and assurance planning
-
Problem-solving and continuous improvement techniques
-
Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
-
Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
The role includes both on-the-job training and 12 off-the-job training sessions at the Aldridge Academy.

Qualifications Requirements

GCSE Maths – Grade 4 or above (Essential)

Willingness to travel to training sessions

Driving licence and access to a car (desirable)
