You would be working in a small team of multidisciplined engineers to maintain existing modules and design new product.
You would also join the Company at an exciting period of growth that will bring exciting challenges and opportunities for development.
Responsibilities
- Electronic design of sensors - modules for our multiplex bus systems
- Electronic support for our off-grid product range
- Development of low-level firmware including PCB bring up.
- Schematic capture and PCB Layout.
- Maintaining existing bills of materials including resolving component obsolesce
- The candidate will have the opportunity to development firmware to interface to devices like SD card, LCDs, ethernet controllers.
Requirements
- Degree or Masters Degree in Electronic engineering (We will consider a degree in software engineering with proven electronic experience in a design environment)
- Experience within a similar role (a minimum of five years)
- Analogue and digital circuit design
- Proved design experience in the design of PCBs containing sensitive analogue, Arm processors and power components.
- Knowledge of design for EMC compliance.
- Experience in the design of switch mode power supplies, from simple logic supplies to 150W step up/down converters.
- Working knowledge of hardware interfaces : I.E. USB, I2C, SPI, CAN
- Component level test and fault finding.
- Embedded programming on Arm M series processors
- Practical skills in building electronic circuits and basic wiring
Knowledge of the following would be beneficial:
- Previous experience with Altium
- Adding new devices to embedded Linux platforms using the device tree.
- Ethernet hardware and protocols
- Embedded programming
- RTOS

Pay: £55,000.00-£62,000.00 per year
