What You'll Be Doing:
As Deputy Manager, you'll work alongside the Registered Manager to ensure the home delivers exceptional care and achieves the highest standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the day-to-day leadership and management of the home.
- Leading shifts and acting as the Registered Manager in their absence.
- Inspiring, coaching, and developing a dedicated team to deliver outstanding, child-centred care.
- Creating a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment where children can flourish.
- Ensuring safeguarding is at the centre of everything you do.
- Supporting care planning, risk assessments, and placement planning.
- Building strong partnerships with families, social workers, education providers, and healthcare professionals.
- Monitoring quality, compliance, and performance to ensure the home meets and exceeds Ofsted standards.
- Promoting positive outcomes in education, health, emotional wellbeing, and independence.
What We're Looking For:
We're looking for someone who leads with compassion, confidence, and integrity.
You'll have:
- Experience working within a children's residential care setting.
- Experience supervising or leading a team.
- A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or willingness to work towards
- A strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and Children's Homes Regulations.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills.
- The ability to remain calm, resilient, and solution-focused under pressure.
- A full UK driving licence.

Pay: £15.00-£17.00 per hour
