MBP Door Solutions are seeking a HGV Class 2 driver to support the company with delivering orders to customers throughout the UK, ensuring that the loads are secure and delivered to the customer in a timely manner, and to complete vehicle checks prior to departing, and reporting defects to the Transport Manager.
Additionally, you will complete all delivery paperwork correctly and assist where required with the loading/unloading of vehicles, and perform any other duties as required within the warehouse. You will fully comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures and Road Safety Regulations at all times.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE MEASURES:
- Check load prior to route, ensuring that you have the necessary paperwork for your load
- Assist in unloading at delivery sites, and lifting heavy stock items
- Ensure all deliveries are signed for and paperwork is complete.
- Ensure all goods are delivered in a safe manner
- To communicate any problems with the Transport Manager and / or customer.
- To be flexible in your approach of overtime requirements to satisfy customer requirements
- Ensure that your vehicle is well maintained and defects are reported immediately.
- Ensure all vehicle checks are completed and recorded prior to departing, and any defects are reported
- Ensure that you understand and comply with Health and Safety at Work and Road safety regulations at all times
- To always present a professional image of oneself, the department and the company
- Communicate with internal departments and external companies
- Assist in warehouse duties as and when required
- Moving and stacking stock
- Picking orders

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- The successful candidate must have experience in securing loads with ratchets straps, be familiar with curtain side vehicles and be able to use a tail lift
- Valid HGV Class 2 licence (essential)
- 2 years HGV 2 driving experience
- Driver CPC (essential)
- Previous experience of multi-drop deliveries (essential)
- Good organisational skills (essential)
- Good standard of English and Maths (essential)
- FLT License is (desirable)
KEY BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:
- Detailed and methodical.
- The ability to work within a team and as an individual
- Be self-motivated and proactive
ADDITIONAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be physically fit as some lifting will be required
- Tenacious
- First Aid qualification would be desirable

This is a full time, permanent, position for 45 hours a week Monday - Friday and no weekend work, flexibility is required to meet customer demand. Start times would be between 04:00-07:00 depending on the delivery but no night shifts.
