Justteachers are looking for a passionate Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to work full-time in one of our partnership schools in Rochdale, starting as soon as possible.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive and inclusive environment supporting learners with SEND and SEMH needs. The successful candidate will help manage behaviour and promote student engagement in their learning . The school offers excellent facilities, welcoming staff and a nurturing and inclusive environment.
The desired candidate will have:
· Experience working with children with SEND and SEMH needs.
· The ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
· In-depth understanding of a range of special educational needs, including cognition and learning difficulties, social emotional and mental health challenges, sensory and physical impairments, ASC, ADHD, and other complex needs.
· The ideal candidate will have a TA Level 2 qualification or higher.
· Team Teach training ( or similar qualification) is desirable or strong behaviour management skills in order to support learners with challenging behavioural needs.
