Real People Solutions is recruiting on behalf of our client for a Housing Customer Service Officer to join a friendly and supportive Housing Resident Services team based in Lyndhurst, New Forest.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong customer service experience who enjoys helping people, solving problems and working in a fast-paced contact centre environment. You'll be the first point of contact for residents, providing advice, support and guidance across a wide range of housing-related enquiries.
Our client is looking for someone who can start as soon as possible.
Duties
As a Housing Customer Service Officer, you'll be responsible for:
- Delivering exceptional customer service via telephone, email and online enquiries.
- Providing information and guidance on a variety of housing services.
- Logging and processing responsive repair requests.
- Booking and rescheduling appointments.
- Taking rent and other customer payments.
- Handling customer complaints professionally, empathetically and in line with company procedures.
- Recording customer feedback, compliments and complaints accurately.
- Maintaining accurate records using multiple internal systems.
- Supporting colleagues across the Housing team with administrative tasks when required.
- Working to service standards and performance targets while ensuring excellent customer care.
What we're looking for
This is a busy and varied role that supports several Housing services, so we're looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in a customer service or contact centre environment.
- Confident using multiple IT systems and able to learn new software quickly.
- A fast and accurate administrator with excellent keyboard skills.
- Calm, professional and resilient when dealing with customer complaints or sensitive situations.
- An excellent communicator with a positive and empathetic approach.
- Well organised and able to prioritise competing workloads in a fast-paced environment.
- A supportive team player with a flexible attitude.
- Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent), including English and Maths.
Desirable:
- NVQ Level 2 in Customer Service or Customer Care (or equivalent).
Working Hours
37 hours per week
Operating hours are:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:30am – 5:15pm
- Friday: 8:30am – 4:45pm
The role operates on a rota basis during these hours.
