Overview
This position will be considered seasonal for the summer trade, but can be extended to permanent based on good performances. We are a small family run, family friendly bar/restaurant clubhouse in Tywyn, serving The Neptune Caravan Park and the wider public, both holiday makers and locals alike. We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Bar Staff to join our vibrant team in a busy hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering excellent customer service, enjoy working in a lively atmosphere, and possess a keen eye for detail. This role offers an opportunity to develop your skills within the hospitality industry while ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience.
Duties
- Serve drinks and beverages efficiently and courteously to customers at the bar
- Take orders accurately and process payments using the till system
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards
- Restock supplies as needed and assist with inventory management
- Ensure responsible alcohol service by checking IDs and adhering to licensing laws
- Engage with guests to create a welcoming atmosphere and promote special offers or events
- Assist in setting up and clearing tables or seating areas when required
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service is desirable
- Strong serving skills with a friendly, approachable manner
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Good time management abilities to handle busy periods efficiently
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining high standards of customer service
- A personable attitude with excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse clientele
