Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing warehouse operations, including materials handling, stock management, and shipping and receiving activities. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a fast-paced logistics environment, utilising various equipment and systems to ensure smooth warehouse functioning. Prior warehouse experience and mechanical knowledge are highly desirable, along with the ability to perform heavy lifting and operate forklifts safely.
Duties
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery safely and efficiently
- Manage stock levels using warehouse management systems
- Handle materials, including loading, unloading, picking, and packing orders
- Organise and maintain accurate inventory records
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of goods
- Conduct stock replenishment and organise storage areas for optimal accessibility
- Perform basic mechanical tasks related to warehouse equipment maintenance
- Support construction-related activities as needed for warehouse modifications or improvements
- Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to during daily operations
Experience
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or logistics roles is preferred
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems
- Experience with forklift operation and materials handling equipment is desirable
- Knowledge of stock management, picking & packing, shipping & receiving procedures
- Experience will be considered a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods
- Previous experience in a fast-paced environment requiring organisational skills and attention to detail
