Role: Senior Business Analyst (Process Mapping)
Contract Type: FTC 12 months
Location: London, hybrid
The MDU are recruiting a Senior Business Analyst to help deliver strategic change across the organisation, applying deep analytical expertise to shape solutions, drive innovation, and optimise business impact.
As a senior-level BA, the role spans requirements definition, stakeholder engagement, and solution development, while championing best practices and mentoring others in the discipline.
For the immediate term, the primary focus of this role will be leading business process mapping activities for the Synthesis programme – a major transformation initiative to modernise the MDU’s legacy systems.
While process mapping will be the core responsibility during the programme’s delivery phase, the role remains embedded within the broader business analysis function and will evolve to support wider strategic initiatives as programme milestones are achieved.

Lead the mapping of business processes to Level 2 and Level 3 detail using Visio and standardised modelling techniques (e.g. UML, BPMN).

Document end-to-end As-Is and To-Be processes, ensuring clarity and accuracy for business and technical teams.

Collaborate with stakeholders, delivery partners, and technology teams to validate and sign off mapped processes.

Support Change Impact Assessments, training design, and testing activities using process documentation.

Ensure process maps are baselined and handed over to BAU owners with clear governance and ownership.

Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and risks in current and future processes, recommending improvements where appropriate.

Contribute to business readiness by enabling knowledge transfer, onboarding, and operational adoption of new processes.
