Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Football Coach to join our sports programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in coaching young players, fostering team spirit, and developing their skills in a supportive environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about football coaching and teaching to gain valuable experience while contributing to the growth and development of aspiring footballers.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and delivering training sessions tailored to different age groups and skill levels
- Support senior coaches during matches and training activities, ensuring all players are engaged and motivated
- Encourage positive behaviour, teamwork, and sportsmanship among participants
- Help organise team drills, exercises, and game strategies under supervision
- Monitor player progress and provide constructive feedback to help improve individual skills
- Ensure the safety of all participants by adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times
- Maintain equipment and ensure the training area remains clean and organised
Qualifications
- Previous experience in sports coaching or teaching is desirable but not essential; a passion for football and working with young people is vital
- Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire players
- Organised, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Enthusiastic attitude with a genuine interest in developing young athletes’ potential
- Basic understanding of football rules, techniques, and training methods is advantageous
- Willingness to undertake relevant training or certification if required

Pay: £12.50-£17.50 per hour
