Reporting to the Registered Nurse (RGN) and Clinical Care Co-ordinator, you’ll take on an important leadership role within the home, helping to ensure consistently high standards of relationship-centred, clinical and dementia care.

Your role: Lead with care and compassion
As a Senior Care Assistant, you’ll be a positive role model for your colleagues and help create a team culture where excellent care is at the centre of everything we do.
You will:
- Support, guide and motivate the care team throughout your shift.
- Help ensure the smooth and consistent delivery of care.
- Lead by example, demonstrating excellent standards of professionalism and compassion.
- Help create an environment where residents feel safe, comfortable, listened to and understood.
Deliver outstanding resident care
Every resident is an individual, and you’ll help ensure their care reflects who they are, what matters to them and how they want to live.
You will:
- Support the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of residents’ care.
- Ensure care plans remain accurate, relevant and reflective of individual needs.
- Support residents with meals and individual dietary requirements and preferences.
- Encourage meaningful activities that promote engagement, independence, purpose and enjoyment.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure care is delivered in line with regulatory, statutory and company requirements.
Be a trusted member of the clinical team
Working closely with our nursing and clinical teams, you’ll play an important role in supporting safe and effective care.
You will:
- Promptly communicate any clinical concerns to the Registered Nurse or Clinical Care Manager.
- Assist with medication management in accordance with company and local policies, always following the five rights of medication administration.
- Support residents during admission and discharge, ensuring the process is handled professionally and with compassion.
- Help ensure residents’ personal belongings are carefully managed and accounted for.
