The Labour Party is looking to recruit a Welsh Organiser. The post-holder will be responsible for building capacity and structure across Wales to enable local activists to deliver effective campaigns, with the specific aim of winning elections at all levels - including Senedd, Westminster, Police and Crime Commissioner, local government and by-elections - alongside ensuring the effective operation of Labour Party and Welsh Labour structures in Wales.
The post holder will be part of the Welsh Labour team, responsible to the General Secretary Wales and line managed by the Head of Field and Operations, working within the Welsh management structure and the devolved political context of Wales. There are three Welsh Organiser posts in total: one based from the North Wales office and two based from the South Wales office, with all post holders expected to work flexibly across Wales as campaign priorities require.
The successful candidate will have
- Knowledge of safeguarding principles
- Experience of using digital tools to campaign
- Ability to organise in person and virtual events, such as a training event or gala dinners
- Ability to motivate and provide inspiring leadership to volunteers and campaigners
The deadline for applications is 28 June 2026.
Interviews will be held on Tuesday 30 June.
Please note that this is a Regular Driver Role and there is a requirement to be able to drive and own a compliant car in this role. Any successful applicant who does not drive or own a compliant car will receive a conditional job offer on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract which requires the successful applicant to hold a full UK driving licence and compliant car within 12 months of their start date. If at the end of the 12 months the employee does not have both a full UK driving licence and a compliant car then the contract will terminate. A driving licence is required for this role due to operational requirements including travel between multiple locations and transportation of campaign materials. Candidates who cannot drive due to disability are encouraged to apply as reasonable adjustments will be considered in line with the Equality Act 2010.
The Labour Party values equality and diversity, and welcomes applications from candidates regardless of sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, religion or belief, marriage and civil partnership, or pregnancy and maternity.
