Job Description
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Security Officer (Front of House) to join a student accommodation site in Southampton.
You will be the first point of contact for residents, visitors, and contractors, ensuring a safe, secure, and welcoming environment at all times.
This role involves lone working and requires a responsible, confident, and reliable individual with strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Front of house security reception duties
- Welcoming and assisting students, visitors, and contractors
- Monitoring and responding to fire and intruder alarm activations
- Conducting regular internal and external patrols
- Reporting maintenance issues and site concerns
- Responding to incidents, emergencies, and call-outs
- Completing accurate incident reports and shift logs
Requirements
- Valid SIA Licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervision)
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Ability to work independently (lone working)
- Minimum 5-year checkable history
- Corporate security experience preferred
