About the Role

We’re looking for a motivated, experienced and dedicated Junior Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. Your responsibilities will include assisting the Head Chef in navigating daily kitchen operations, menu development, food quality control and overall kitchen maintenance. This role will operate on a 4-day work week.
What you’ll be doing
- Assist in leading, guiding and encouraging the team
- Running the pass in the absence of the Head Chef
- Uphold the quality of dishes, managing the orders so that each station can efficiently work and deliver
- Create and develop seasonal menus that reflect quality and creativity
- Manage kitchen operations including monitoring, controlling and ordering stock
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations and protocols
- Closely collaborate with other departments to deliver an exceptional experience to all guests and aim to exceed their expectations

What we’re looking for
- Proven experience as a Junior Sous Chef or a strong and experienced Chef de Partie ready to take a step up
- Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
- A real passion for food, innovation and quality dishes
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices within the kitchen
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
