Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated Sewing Machinists to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidates will be responsible for operating sewing machines to produce high-quality textile products in a fast-paced environment. Duties
- Operate various types of sewing machines to assemble and finish textile products according to specifications.
- Ensure all stitching meets quality standards, inspecting finished work for defects or inconsistencies.
- Follow detailed work instructions and production schedules to meet deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organised workstation, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist with material handling, including loading and unloading fabrics and finished goods within the warehouse.
- Report any machine malfunctions or quality issues to supervisors promptly to minimise downtime.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow efficiency and product quality.
Experience
- Previous experience in sewing or garment manufacturing is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in operating sewing machines, with an understanding of different stitching techniques preferred.
- Attention to detail, organisation skills, and the ability to work accurately under pressure are essential.
- A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and adhering to safety protocols is required. This role provides a rewarding environment for those passionate about textiles and manufacturing.
Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
