We are Build a Bond dog training and walking - a dog training and walking business looking for a Dog transport and daycare assistant to join our small team.
The role of Dog trainer/daycare assistant is a versatile role with a lot of different responsibilities to the role. This will be mainly
· Picking up + Dropping off dogs for daycare
· General daycare duties
· Occasional weekend work required
· Administrative duties, including writing up training, contacting clients, updating forms, website updates and more.
· Opening and closing daycare when cover is needed
· (Optional) pet sitting position is also available for the right candidate
This position will be a flexible ‘Jack of all trades’ position and will require a strong work ethic, a lot of self-motivation and a hard working individual. This individual should be confident in handling dogs, using their own vehicle for transport and working split shifts. We only train using ethical training methods via positive reinforcement.
We offer full training for anyone joining us. Progression is available to for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate MUST have -
· Previous experience of working with animals
· Hold a valid clean UK driving licence
The ideal candidate will have –
· A level 3 animal care qualification minimum
· Experience of dog walking and in a kennels/daycare setting
· Have a basic understanding of body language
· Experience working with big groups of dogs
This role is a part time Monday-Friday during the day and mainly afternoon 3pm-6pm dropping off dogs and occasional days in daycare with holiday cover between 7.30am-6.30pm. Some morning pickups 8am-11am will be required as and when needed.
