Job Overview
As a Logistics and slab stock Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and optimising logistical operations to ensure the smooth flow of goods and materials in stock from point of origin to destination. This position requires exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate with various customers.
Responsibilities
- - Planning and Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams and external customers to plan and execute transportation of goods, monitor stock levels, and optimise logistical processes to meet customer’s needs.
- - Stock Management: Maintain accurate records of slab stock levels and standard products conducting regular audits, and coordinate with factory to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
- - Customer Relations: Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, hauliers and resolve issues, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- - Preparation of Documentation: Ensure all relevant documentation is generated and maintain updated documentation.
Requirements
- - Proven experience in logistics operations and supply chain management
- - Strong understanding of transportation modes and stock management.
- - Forklift Licence advantage but not necessary.
- - Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- - Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Additional Information
- The Logistics Coordinator position may require occasional extended hours to address time-sensitive logistical issues.
- The role involves working closely with teams, external partners, and customers to ensure seamless operations.
- Hours of work are 42.5hrs a week, Mon - Thurs 7.30am – 10.00am break 10.30am - 1.00pm Lunch 1.30 pm- 4.30 pm and Fridays 7.30am – 1.30pm.
- Annual Leave entitlement is 21 days + Bank Holidays.
Pay: From £32,000.00 per year
