Resulting from continuing growth within the business, we are looking for a dedicated and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our expanding design team at our Rugby site.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be joining an established design team taking the design of specialist liquid waste vacuum tankers and jetting equipment from concept to completion.
Role Specification
- Modelling & drawing up assemblies & all component parts
- Reviewing, altering and updating drawings during production
- Creating & maintaining parts lists / Bill of Materials
- Client and supplier communications
- Liaising with the factory in order to ensure smooth and successful running of the project
Candidate Specification
- Knowledge of general engineering principles and manufacturing methods
- Experience using 3D and 2D CAD
- Experience using Solid Works
- A working knowledge of Microsoft packages
- Attention to detail
- Clear and effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Flexibility
- Highly organised and conscientious
- Able to multitask and prioritise work
- Able to work under pressure
- An understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics and electrics
- A background in commercial vehicle design
- HNC / Degree in CAD Design / Engineering
Essential information
· £38,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent upon experience)
· Hours of work – Monday to Friday (08:00 – 16:30) – 40 hours per week
