This role is offered alongside a structured apprenticeship programme, giving the successful candidate the opportunity to earn while they learn and gain a recognised qualification.
The apprentice will develop practical experience in regulatory compliance, health and safety, fleet administration and financial record keeping.
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Assist with ensuring all refuse vehicles comply with LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations) MOT, and taxation requirements.
- Assist with the creation and management of scheduled servicing and maintenance plans for refuse vehicles.
- Assist with ordering vehicle parts and consumables required for maintenance and operational efficiency.
- Assist with the preparation, organising and sending of all necessary compliance documentation to customers in a timely manner.
- Assist with the maintenance of accurate records of compliance activities, inspections, and certifications.
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining health and safety standards across operations.
- Assist with internal audits and inspections related to health and safety. and regulatory compliance.
- Support the implementation and ongoing adherence to ISO certifications and standards.
- Match invoices to purchase orders, ensuring accuracy across financial records.
- Match fuel receipts to fuel invoices, supporting accurate fuel expenditure tracking.
