Job description
Work time: Tues 9-6pm, Wed 9-1pm, Thurs 9-1pm and Fri 9-1pm.
Pharmacy shop assistant required to deal with Pharmacy reps, ordering shop supplies, managing stock rotation and to ensure dates maintained. Also delivery of prescriptions to patients living in the locality using the pharmacy delivery van.
Training will be provided for the role.
Responsibilities
- Delivering prescriptions to patients living in the local area using the dedicated pharmacy delivery van
- Tidying pharmacy shop, ordering shop supplies and managing stock rotation to ensure dates maintained
- Serving customers
- Providing advice
- Transfer of assembled prescriptions to patients
- Stock management
- Ordering shop supplies
- General cleaning
The duties listed are not exhaustive and may be varied from time to time as dictated by the changing needs of the Pharmacy business. The post holder may be expected to undertake other duties as appropriate and as requested by his/her manager.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Previous retail experience
- Driving licence
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience working in retail Pharmacy
- Completion of Medicines counter assistant course (Pharmacy Interact course)
- Cash handling experience
- IT literate

We are a small team and the ability to work as a team, be friendly and have flexibility to help cover additional hours when other staff are off is essential.
