Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC and manual machinery safely and efficiently.
- Produce high-quality components in line with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Monitor production to achieve efficiency, quality, and performance targets.
- Replace machining tips and tooling as prompted by machine macros and production requirements.
- Use hand tools and precision measuring equipment to inspect and verify component quality.
- Operate CNC control systems, including Fanuc, Haas, and Mikron.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
- Carry out routine quality checks and ensure products meet company standards.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance and keep machines in good working order.
- Ensure effective shift handovers, communicating any production or maintenance issues.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards across the work area.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity, and quality, making recommendations where appropriate.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and health & safety requirements.
- Wear and maintain the required PPE, ensuring replacements are requested when needed.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by the Management Team.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience operating CNC and/or manual machining equipment.
- A high level of attention to detail, vigilance, and technical competence.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of CNC control systems such as Fanuc, Haas, or Mikron.
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- A strong commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A proactive, reliable, and flexible approach to work.
