We are seeking two self-employed tutors to join a growing independent tutoring network.
Current university students studying STEM subjects are especially encouraged to apply. We created these flexible roles to provide meaningful paid work that fits around your studies while helping GCSE and A-Level students achieve their academic goals.
Positions available:
- Biology & Chemistry Tutor
- Physics & Mathematics Tutor
This is a flexible contractor role with students assigned on an ongoing basis as enquiries are received.
Location
- London (for in-person tuition)
- Online tutoring available across the UK
Subjects and Levels
- GCSE Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics
- A-Level Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics
Role Overview
- Students are assigned through a manual matching system
- Initial communication and scheduling is handled via WhatsApp or email
- Lessons are tracked internally using simple record-keeping
- Payments are processed monthly in arrears
Working Arrangements
- Flexible working hours based on student demand
- No guaranteed minimum hours
- Self-employed contractor basis
- Opportunity to build a consistent student base over time
Early tutors will receive priority access to new student enquiries.
Requirements
- Strong academic background in relevant subject area
- Strong communication skills
- Reliability and professionalism
- Previous tutoring or mentoring experience is preferred but not essential
Contract Terms
Tutors will operate as self-employed independent contractors. The agreement includes:
- Pay per completed lesson
- No guaranteed hours
- Cancellation and rescheduling policy
- Expected professional conduct standards
About the Role
This is an early-stage tutoring network focused on matching high-achieving university students with GCSE and A-Level learners.
The system is designed to allocate students to tutors based on subject fit and availability, with all coordination initially managed manually.
Pay: £25.00-£35.00 per hour
Work Location: Hybrid remote in London
