With five generations of success, Heaton Group has long been at the forefront of property development, capable of handling every aspect of the development process, from site acquisition and planning to construction, sales, lettings, and asset management. Our Cotton Works site is the largest brownfield site in the North West under single ownership. The Heaton Group’s master plan will create a new, urban, destination neighbourhood for Wigan; a place to live, work, trade, shop, eat and drink.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in expanding our corporate events, private hire and hospitality offering. You'll be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing long-term client relationships and maximising revenue across our unique collection of venues.
What you'll be doing
- Proactively generate new and existing corporate business across Greater Manchester and the North West.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, corporate clients, event agencies and key decision-makers.
- Develop opportunities for meetings, conferences, private events, celebrations and corporate hospitality.
- Represent Cotton Works and The Heaton Group at networking events, exhibitions and business showcases.
- Manage enquiries from initial contact through to successful event delivery, ensuring an exceptional customer journey.
- Maximise revenue through effective upselling, cross-selling and repeat business opportunities across all venues.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline, prepare accurate sales reports and consistently achieve agreed revenue and activity targets.
- Work collaboratively with venue operations, marketing and events teams to deliver outstanding client experiences.
About you
You'll be a confident and commercially minded relationship builder who enjoys meeting new people, creating opportunities and delivering results.
You'll also have:
- Previous experience in hospitality, events, venue or corporate sales.
- A proven track record of generating new business and achieving sales targets.
- Excellent communication, networking and negotiation skills.
- Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- The ability to manage multiple opportunities and prioritise effectively.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach and the confidence to work independently.
- A genuine passion for hospitality, events and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
