Stonegate Dental Studio is based in the heart of York city centre just a stone's throw from the beautiful York Minster. The street and building are steeped in history making it a stunning location to work. The surgeries are equipped with brand new chairs and equipment after recent refurbishment, and this is a fantastic opportunity to join a rapidly growing team as we continue to deliver cutting edge, innovative treatments to our patients in a wonderfully historic and comforting environment. Rate of pay based upon applicant's qualifications and experience.
Implant experience preferred.
Part time contracted hours available, 1-3 days per week. Immediate start available.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Prepare patients for treatment and ensure their comfort
- Record medical histories and vital signs of patients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Provide post-operative instructions to patients
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care
Requirements:
- Valid certification or license as a Dental Nurse
- Proven experience working as a Dental Nurse
- Knowledge of medical documentation and coding procedures
- Proficiency in developing dental x-rays
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
-Experience in working with dental implants preferred but not required
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and procedures
