WVC Service Centre is a well-established independent workshop with an outstanding reputation for customer service and technical expertise. Specialising in Audi, Volkswagen Group and BMW vehicles, and also proudly appointed as an Isuzu Service Dealer.
Now we're looking for a Trainee Service Advisor — someone with the right attitude who wants to learn the trade from the customer-facing side and build a real career out of it.
No experience? That's fine. We'll teach you. What you bring is energy, a way with people, and a genuine interest in cars.
What you'll be doing
You'll be the friendly, capable face customers meet when they hand over their keys — and the calm voice that keeps the service department running smoothly. We'll bring you up to speed step by step:
- Greeting customers and looking after vehicle check-in and check-out
- Helping book appointments and keep the workshop's day flowing
- Learning to explain repair recommendations clearly — what's needed, and why it matters
- Keeping accurate records of services, repairs and customer conversations in our dealership management software
- Building real knowledge of diagnostics, mechanical repairs and service writing, so you can speak both languages — customer and technician
You
You're personable, organised under a bit of pressure, and the sort of person who actually enjoys sorting things out for people. Cars are an interest, not just a job.
Ideally you'll bring:
- Strong customer-service instincts and a genuinely positive, professional manner
- A real interest in vehicles — diagnostics, maintenance, how things get fixed
- Clear communication and the ability to work as part of a team
- The drive to develop into service writing, estimating and the wider service operation
Some basic mechanical knowledge or experience around mechanics is a bonus — but the right attitude matters more than a CV full of qualifications.
