Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting surfaces, vacuuming carpets, and sanitizing bathrooms to uphold high standards of hygiene.
- Maintain cleanliness in public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and recreational spaces by sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces regularly.
- Handle floor care tasks including carpet extraction, polishing hard floors, and operating floor cleaning equipment to ensure a spotless environment.
- Restock supplies like towels, toiletries, and linens efficiently while managing inventory levels for smooth operations.
- Follow safety protocols during cleaning procedures and use appropriate janitorial equipment responsibly to prevent accidents or damage.
- Collaborate with team members to prioritise tasks during busy periods and ensure timely completion of all cleaning duties.
- Report maintenance issues or damages promptly to facilitate quick resolutions and maintain the quality of the facility.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in cleaning within hotels or similar hospitality environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including carpet cleaning and hard floor polishing.
- Strong understanding of hospitality standards with a focus on guest satisfaction and cleanliness.
- Experience with equipment such as vacuums, buffers, steam cleaners, and mops.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive attitude towards maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Previous housekeeping experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
