Apprentice Vacancy Exciting opportunity to join our team! We are looking for a motivated apprentice to join our friendly, busy livery yard.
We offer a range of livery services, from traditional full livery to track livery. This is a physically demanding role, so we're looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking, trustworthy, has a genuine passion for horses, and is eager to learn. No previous experience is required; however, you should be willing to learn, able to follow both written and verbal instructions, and keen to develop new skills. Duties will include all aspects of horse care e.g.
- Grooming
- Mucking out
- Trimming
- Plaiting
- Lunging
- Health care
- Travelling
- Feeding
- Grooming at competitions.
This is not a ridden position.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in the equine industry, with the chance to gain valuable hands-on experience while working towards a recognised qualification. We are not on a bus route so please do not apply if you do not have transport. Working on a yard is 7 days a week so working on a weekend will be required on rotation. The hours are 31 per week over 5 days between the hours of 9am-7pm. Pay is £8 per hour or NMW if eligible.
