We are looking for a part-time Research Associate to join the team working on the AHRC-funded project Community Jazz Big Bands in England under the leadership of Professor Catherine Tackley.
The project addresses questions of how non-professional jazz big bands exemplify ideas of community, including how they provide a way for large numbers of musicians and their audiences to engage with jazz and contribute to the function and value of jazz in England.
Working closely with the project's other Research Associate, you will conduct observations and interviews with community jazz big bands and analyse and code the resultant data. Drawing on your specialisms and interests arising from the data, you will work collaboratively and individually on research outputs and contribute to the project’s public engagement and impact activities.
Informal enquiries regarding the post may be directed to: Professor Catherine Tackley
