Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes, ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. Duties
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Oversee specific sections of the kitchen, such as grill, pastry, or sauces
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly adhered to
- Assist in the development of new menu items and culinary techniques
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations at all times
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Monitor stock levels and communicate needs for replenishment
- Support junior team members through training and mentorship as required
- Ensure that all meals meet the restaurant’s quality standards before serving
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Previous experience working in a professional kitchen or culinary setting is highly desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Passion for culinary arts with a keen eye for detail in meal presentation and quality
- Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are preferred but not essential
