Duties
- Lead structured swim lessons tailored to different age groups and skill levels, ensuring clear progressions and achievable goals
- Demonstrate proper swimming techniques, safety protocols, and water survival skills with enthusiasm and clarity
- Assess each participant’s abilities and provide constructive feedback to support their development
- Maintain a safe aquatic environment by enforcing safety rules, monitoring participants closely, and responding promptly to emergencies
- Plan engaging lesson plans that incorporate fun activities to motivate learners and build confidence in the water
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about progress, achievements, and areas for improvement
- Keep accurate records of attendance, skill assessments, and milestones achieved by each swimmer
Experience
- Prior experience in sports coaching or teaching swimming is highly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to instruct individuals or groups with patience, clarity, and enthusiasm
- Knowledge of water safety standards, rescue techniques, and first aid procedures is advantageous
- Strong communication skills to effectively connect with learners of diverse backgrounds and ages
- Ability to motivate others through positive reinforcement and energetic coaching methods
