Location: Various Project Sites – Midlands
We are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Project Manager (MEP) to join our Engineering team, delivering complex projects across the Midlands within sectors including healthcare, education, commercial, defence, custodial and the public sector.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for the successful delivery of Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health (MEP) services throughout the entire project lifecycle, from pre-construction and design management through to commissioning, handover and post-occupancy support.
Working closely with clients, consultants and project teams, you will lead multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest standards of quality. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical or Electrical professional looking to lead the delivery of major building services packages on high-profile projects.
Key Duties
- Lead the planning, management and delivery of all Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health services, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
- Manage multidisciplinary teams, consultants and supply chain partners, coordinating design, procurement, installation, commissioning and handover activities across the full project lifecycle.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, leading design coordination meetings, driving collaboration and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, Building Regulations and company management systems.
- Monitor project performance, including programme, commercial performance, subcontractor management, commissioning strategy, digital handover and quality assurance, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and value engineering.
- Mentor and develop Engineers, Project Managers, Graduates and Apprentices, promoting a collaborative culture, technical excellence and safe delivery across all projects.
About You
You will be an experienced Mechanical or Electrical Project Manager with a proven track record of delivering complex MEP packages within a main contractor environment.
You will bring:
- Significant experience delivering multi-million-pound Mechanical and Electrical projects from pre-construction through to completion.
- A qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering (HNC/HND or Degree) together with SMSTS and a CSCS Professionally Qualified Person or ECS Manager Card.
- Strong knowledge of current legislation, including the Building Safety Act, CDM Regulations and Building Regulations, alongside experience of BIM and digital delivery.
- Excellent commercial awareness, leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and build lasting client relationships.
- A proactive, collaborative approach with a passion for delivering high-quality projects and developing future talent.
- Full UK Driving Licence
