Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cover School Cleaner to join our team. This role involves providing cleaning services across various school premises , ensuring a hygienic and welcoming environment for students and staff. The position offers flexible hours and is ideal for individuals with prior experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work. A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety within the school environment.
Duties
- Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels as needed
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained in good working order and stored appropriately after use
- Follow health and safety guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to the designated supervisor promptly
- Adhere to school policies regarding security protocols when entering or leaving premises
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good physical stamina to perform cleaning duties effectively throughout the shift
- Reliable with a professional attitude towards work responsibilities
- Flexibility to cover shifts as needed, including occasional early mornings or late afternoons depending on school schedules
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning practices is advantageous
