Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the well-being and independence of clients by delivering personalised care with professionalism and empathy. Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility, ensuring their comfort and dignity are maintained.
- Support clients in adhering to their care plans, including medication management and health monitoring as required.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and respectful environment.
- Help with domestic tasks such as light cleaning, meal preparation, and shopping to promote independence.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, communicating effectively with colleagues and family members as necessary.
- Ensure the safety of clients by recognising potential hazards and following health and safety protocols diligently.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities when required, ensuring safe transportation.
Requirements
- Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
- Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving transportation of clients.
- Good command of English, with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and team members.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and updating care plans electronically.
- Compassionate nature with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting relationships.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as required.
