Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures by managing instruments and materials efficiently
- Provide compassionate patient care, including explaining procedures, managing anxieties, and offering post-treatment advice
- Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems, documenting treatments, observations, and follow-up instructions
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient communications in clear English
- Uphold high standards of infection control and hygiene throughout the practice to ensure patient safety
Requirements
- Proven experience in patient care within a healthcare or dental setting is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with patients and team members
- Basic knowledge of nursing principles applied within dental environments
- Familiarity with IT systems used for record keeping and appointment management
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to work collaboratively with dentists, hygienists, and administrative staff to deliver seamless patient experiences
