Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic, hardworking and dedicated individual to join our Pontypridd team as a Yard Operative/Relief Van Driver. The successful candidate will be assisting colleagues and customers in the yard/warehouse ensuring the safe and efficient movement of products. A good knowledge of building materials is preferred and forklift truck driving experience is essential. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in warehouse operations and van driving. A full clean UK driver’s licence is essential, along with a proactive attitude and good communication skills.
Duties
- Welcome customers to the branch and take an active interest in their projects
- Help to prepare customer orders, load and unload customer/supplier vehicles using a forklift truck to minimise manual handling
- Make health & safety a priority and demonstrate how you can keep yourself and others safe at work.
- Be available to support holidays/sickness cover for customer deliveries using our sprinter van.
- 40 hours a week - Monday to Friday 7.30am - 4.30pm
- Expectation to work alternative Saturday mornings 8am - 12pm (overtime)
- Overtime is available plus a discretionary annual bonus.
