Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electrical/Mechanical Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, maintaining, and repairing electrical and mechanical systems within our manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles, as well as proficiency with various tools and technology. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with hands-on experience in electrical and mechanical fitting to contribute to high-quality production processes.
Duties
- Assemble and install electrical and mechanical components using hand tools and power tools
- Conduct maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on machinery and equipment
- Programme and configure programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ensure optimal operation
- Work with surface mount technology (SMT) components during assembly processes
- Assist in the integration of electrical systems with mechanical parts for machinery setup
- Perform routine inspections to identify potential faults or safety hazards
- Document maintenance activities and report any issues requiring further attention
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements
Requirements
- Proven experience with electrical systems and mechanical assembly within a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and assembly techniques
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and surface mount technology (SMT) is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of electrical wiring, circuitry, and mechanical principles
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
- Experience with electrical installation, troubleshooting, and repair tasks
- Mechanical knowledge including the use of various power tools for assembly and maintenance
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
