Job Purpose:
The CCTV Rig Manager plays a central role in leading drainage surveying operations across multiple UK locations. Reporting to the Projects Manager, you will coordinate and deliver high‑quality CCTV survey works, ensuring all activities meet Crown Plus’s safety, quality, and environmental standards.
The role requires strong planning, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a specialist operational team.
You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day management of site activities, ensuring compliance with RAMS, maintaining accurate reporting, and supporting continuous improvement across Health & Safety and operational delivery.
Accountabilities:
Operational Leadership
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver CCTV drainage survey works across multiple sites.
- Attend site meetings as required and implement actions arising.
- Assist in coordinating site works with external parties including Highways Authorities, Traffic Management providers, utilities, and other contractors.
- Manage daily site programmes, monitoring progress and reporting deviations to the Projects Supervisor.
- Liaise with Traffic Management providers to ensure correct installation, access, and egress arrangements.
- Produce detailed shift reports covering activities, resource levels, locations, and progress.
Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance
- Take responsibility for safety, quality, and environmental standards across all work sites.
- Undertake safety inspections and submit associated documentation to the Projects Supervisor.
- Ensure site teams work safely and in accordance with approved RAMS.
- Produce point‑of‑work risk assessments where required.
- Promote and encourage Near Miss reporting.
- Ensure supply‑chain RAMS are reviewed, approved, and signed off before work begins.
- Work collaboratively with supply‑chain partners to improve Health & Safety standards and best practice.
Equipment & Site Readiness
- Conduct pre‑shift vehicle and plant checks.
- Maintain plant and equipment, including oil and water levels, and report defects promptly.
- Ensure all equipment is used safely and correctly by the team.
Teamwork & Communication
- Work closely with the Projects Supervisor and wider operational teams to ensure smooth delivery of works.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and site personnel.
- Support team members in maintaining high standards of professionalism and safety.
Skills, Knowledge and Training
- OS19x Pipe Sewer Classification Certificate.
- Confined Space Certification including Breathing Apparatus.
- CSCS Card.
- Highways work experience.
- Strong understanding of OS19x Pipe Sewer Classification, CS 551 Drainage Survey, and CD 535 Drainage Asset Data and Risk Management.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to lead teams safely and effectively on site.
- Ability to work safely and follow strict Health & Safety procedures.
- Willingness to work collaboratively as part of a small operational team.
- Good communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude.
- Ability to carry out basic equipment checks and maintenance.
- Flexibility to travel and work across multiple UK locations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to high standards of work.
- Safety‑conscious with strong attention to detail.
- Practical, hands‑on approach with the ability to problem‑solve on site.
- Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

This is site-based role covering multiple locations around the UK, with key contracts within the Midlands (Area 7 & Area 9) and South West (Area 1 & 2).
The nature of the role will mainly entail working weekday nights, as such you will be expected to work away from home for periods of time.

Pay: £167.63 per day
