Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards.
- Assist in the daily preparation of food items, ensuring freshness and quality.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Help with inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies.
- Collaborate with fellow cooks and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
