Sous Chef
Join the Team at Kochchi
Kochchi is an award-winning Sri Lankan restaurant in Glasgow’s West End, and we’re looking for a talented Sous Chef to join our growing kitchen team.
Working closely with our Executive Chef, you’ll play a key role in leading the kitchen, maintaining exceptional standards, and delivering bold, authentic Sri Lankan food using quality local produce.
This is an opportunity for a chef who wants responsibility, enjoys leading a team, and is looking to grow with an ambitious independent restaurant.
Your Role
- Support the Executive Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
- Lead service and ensure every dish leaves the kitchen to the highest standard.
- Train, support and develop junior chefs.
- Maintain excellent food hygiene, HACCP and health & safety standards.
- Assist with ordering, stock control and minimising waste.
- Help create a positive, professional and organised kitchen culture.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or a strong Chef de Partie ready to step up.
- Passion for great food, quality ingredients and authentic Sri Lankan flavours.
- Calm under pressure with excellent organisational and communication skills.
- A positive leader who enjoys coaching and developing others.
- Pride in your work with excellent attention to detail.
