We are looking for enthusiastic, customer service assistants to work in fast-paced catering units at a popular tourist destination in Staffordshire. Previous catering and customer service experience is desirable but full training will be given.
Duties and responsibilities
· Basic preparation and serving of food and drinks
· Cleaning of unit and equipment and general washing up
· Ensure food hygiene, personal hygiene and health and safety standards are adhered to at all times
· Adhere to work practises, training and induction
· Providing an effective and efficient service to customers
· Maintain a good appearance and presentation at all times
· Carry out any other reasonable duties within the function of the job
· Ability to work weekends and throughout busy holiday periods
· Completing stock counts and rotations
Essential skills
- Maintain confidentiality where appropriate in accordance with the Data Protection Act
- Good oral communication skills, able to communicate with customers and colleagues
- Good interpersonal skills and customer facing skills, able to respond politely to customers in a sometimes pressured environment. Able to display politeness and patience in a professional manner and deal with unhappy customers.
- Confidence to deal with situations and know when to ask for guidance from supervisors
- Good working attitude
- A good level of physical fitness and ability to undertake manual work.
- Able to understand and follow simple instructions
Other desirable skills
· Knowledge and competency of using tills
· Food hygiene level 2 or above
· Working knowledge of a catering environment, food safety and health and safety procedures.
Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
