An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced service technician to join our busy Service Centre at Sumitomo Electric Europe Ltd at our head office in Elstree.

We are looking for an experienced technician who can confidently calibrate, service and repair our fusion splicer products to customer timescales.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
· a high level of competence in working hands-on with electro-mechanical and opto-electronic technologies
· a good eye for detail to ensure accuracy in your work
· the ability to achieve timescale targets
· familiarity with Microsoft Office and ERP systems
· good verbal and written communication skills
· a UK Level 3 BTEC or ONC in science, engineering or relevant technical subject, or equivalent.
It is also highly desirable that you have no passport restrictions for travel within Europe or to our parent company’s offices in Japan.
