We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Apprentice Accounts Assistant to join our Finance Team based at our Head Office in Handforth, Cheshire. You will work alongside experienced finance professionals, gaining hands-on experience across multiple areas of the finance function.
Full Description:
As an Apprentice Accounts Assistant, you will gain exposure to all aspects of a busy finance function, working closely with experienced finance professionals who will support your development. You will learn how a finance team operates within a national hospitality business and develop valuable skills that will provide a strong foundation for a long-term career in finance.
Alongside your day-to-day role, you will receive fully funded study support towards a recognised accounting qualification, providing the opportunity to gain both practical experience and professional accreditation.
This position is ideal for someone who is organised, curious, enjoys working with numbers and is looking to develop a successful career within finance.
Duties:
- Processing supplier invoices and payments
- Assisting with financial administration
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Supporting month-end reporting processes
- Responding to finance queries from venue and support teams
- Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Ensuring invoices are coded correctly and authorised in line with company procedures.
- Responding to supplier queries and maintaining positive relationships with vendors.
- Reconciling supplier statements and investigating discrepancies
Future Prospects:
As an Apprentice Accounts Assistant, you will receive fully funded study support towards a recognised accounting qualification, alongside practical experience within a fast-paced finance team. Over time, you will gain exposure to a broad range of finance activities including management accounts, commercial finance, payroll, financial reporting and business analysis.

Skills Required:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is advantageous but not essential

GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4 or above) or equivalent
