About the Role
We are looking for a customer-focused Service Advisor to join a busy dealership team in Letchworth Garden City. As the key link between our customers and our workshop technicians, you will ensure every customer receives clear communication, accurate vehicle assessments, and exceptional service throughout their visit.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Care: Meet and greet customers upon arrival, managing booking-in procedures, courtesy car arrangements, and check-outs.
- Service Coordination: Consult with customers regarding servicing, MOTs, diagnostics, and repairs, translating technical details into clear explanations.
- Upselling & Work Authorization: Identify additional recommended work (e.g., via Electronic Vehicle Health Checks - EVHC), gain customer approval, and present accurate cost estimates.
- Invoicing & Admin: Prepare accurate job cards, process invoices, handle payments, and maintain up-to-date customer records using standard dealership DMS systems
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in Customer Facing Environments, minimum of 2 years
- Experience a a Service Advisor within a franchised motor dealership or independent garage in the UK is beneficial but not mandatory
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, phone, and written skills with a strong customer-first mindset.
- Driver's License: Full, valid UK driving license (required for moving vehicles and managing courtesy cars).
- Location: Based within commuting distance of Letchworth (e.g., Stevenage, Hitchin, Baldock, Royston).
Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
