Overview
A forward-thinking top accountancy firm is on the lookout for a new Senior Accountant to join their growing team. This is a permanent, full-time role (37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday) with a hybrid working structure.
Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications.
Duties
- Manage a portfolio of individuals and owner-managed businesses
- Prepare accounts for companies, partnerships, LLPs and sole traders
- Prepare corporation tax returns and computations
- Prepare partnership tax returns and adjusted profit computations
- Prepare personal tax returns and computations
- Review VAT returns and use online accounting packages
- Lead accounts planning meetings and ensure effective team workflow
- Ensure completion of client work to agreed budgets and standards
- Monitor progress and maintain communication with clients and stakeholders
- Research and resolve complex or high-risk issues
- Review work of assistants and clear review points
- Prepare bills and monitor WIP
- Act as key contact for offshoring resources
What we're looking for
A successful candidate would ideally be ACA or ACCA Part Qualified / Qualified and have a strong background in UK accounting standards and practices.
You must have the legal right to work in the UK and live within a 1hr commute.
