CASTING CALL: Immersive Performers
Do you love being in character, sparking wonder and transforming everyday interactions into memorable moments?
Wake The Tiger is looking for imaginative, engaging and adaptable performers to join our Immersive Performance Team.
This isn't traditional theatre.
Our performers inhabit the world of Meridia, interacting with visitors through character-led encounters, structured improvisation and immersive storytelling. You'll help animate our spaces, inspire curiosity and create moments of amazement for thousands of guests.
Whether you're an actor, improviser, physical performer, storyteller, roleplayer, facilitator or creative adventurer, we'd love to see what you can bring to our world.
Please send applications to [email protected] and include:
Brief below:
Youre a member of a punky DIY resistance group, and you are trying to get a visitor's attention, but you don't want to get noticed by the authorities. Get their attention, reveal your true identity and find out if they would be interested in joining your mission
We're not after big, theatrical performances. As we are a family attraction, we are seeking characters that feel real and can connect with a range of visitors.
The World
The world you're in is called Meridia. It's a parallel dimension where the climate crisis has already happened. Consumerism, corruption and capitalism pushed this world to the edge. Now, in this dystopian age, a domed city has sprung up and blocked out all the noise, sealing itself off from the environment and selling itself as the perfect holiday destination: Absurd City, where Everything is Fine!
Absurd City is a maze-like metropolis, filled with hidden passageways, sights to see, games to play, and different districts for every type of traveller.
The people who live and work there are its residents: whether theyre in the shopping precinct or the waste processing district, the locals are living on the edge. As members of a resistance movement, these residents usually hide out of sight from authorities. But now visitors are arriving in the city. Perhaps they can be brought in to fight for the cause?
