Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Hairdressing Assistant to support our busy salon team. Duties
- Support senior stylists with hairdressing and colouring services, including preparation and clean-up
- Assist with store management tasks such as organising stock and maintaining salon cleanliness
- Greet clients at the front desk, ensuring a welcoming environment
- Provide customer service by answering queries, scheduling appointments, and upselling products or additional treatments
- Support with retail sales by recommending suitable products based on client needs
- Maintain hygiene standards in all areas of the salon, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Taking payment at the end of the clients service and rebooking their next appointments
Qualifications
- Previous experience or training in barbering, hairdressing, or beauty therapy is advantageous but not essential
- Strong communication skills with an approachable manner
- Knowledge of store management practices is beneficial
- Experience in customer service roles demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to assist with front desk operations efficiently and professionally
- Proven ability to upsell products and services to maximise client satisfaction and revenue
- Organised with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment as well as prioritising your workload effectively
- A genuine passion for the industry and a willingness to learn new techniques
