We're looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team based in Liverpool or London.

Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll take full responsibility for preparing designs and providing expert advice on mechanical systems for large, complex construction projects. You'll lead the mechanical design team, working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to deliver sustainable, compliant, and cost-effective solutions from concept through to construction.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll be working within the Major Projects team, supporting them in delivering high-quality mechanical design solutions for large-scale construction projects. Your day to day will include:
- Providing high-quality mechanical designs and specifications that meet client requirements
- Leading professional services for mechanical design across allocated projects and clients
- Representing mechanical engineering in project design meetings and establishing innovative solutions
- Ensuring compliance with building codes, regulations, industry standards, and Kier Design procedures
- Collaborating with clients, architects, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination
What are we looking for?
This role of Senior Mechanical Engineer is great for you if:
- You hold a degree in Mechanical Building Services Engineering or Mechanical Engineering and are a member of CIBSE or IET
- You are a Chartered Engineer or working towards becoming chartered
- You have significant experience in mechanical building services engineering with high-level technical knowledge
- You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
- You have the ability to pass BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) requirements
