We are now looking for Guest Ambassador ready to join a young and vibrant team and available to start immediately. The ideal candidate must demonstrate genuine dedication and show a commitment to consistent quality in our products and services.
Duties and Responsibilities
. Deliver a warm, personalised welcome and fond farewell to every guest, acting as a true ambassador for The Roseate Edinburgh and the SLH brand.
· Manage check-in and check-out efficiently and accurately, including registration cards, ID/passport verification, and billing.
· Take handover from the Night Manager/previous shift, review outstanding items, and action them promptly at the start of shift.
· Review upcoming arrivals in advance and read guest preference notes on each booking to personalise the stay: special occasions, dietary needs, repeat-guest history and SLH/loyalty recognition.
· Coordinate guest amenities (welcome drinks, fruit plates, macarons, chocolate plate ensuring they are logged correctly and delivered on time with the right presentation.
· Respond promptly and professionally to guest enquiries and messages across email, phone, and OTA extranets
· Carry out financial reconciliation and cash/card handling accurately at scheduled points in the shift, escalating any discrepancy immediately
· Liaise closely with housekeeping, F&B and maintenance to ensure rooms and guest requests are ready and fulfilled on time.
· Handle guest concerns and complaints with empathy and urgency, resolving at first point of contact wherever possible and escalating to the Duty Manager when needed.
· Maintain accurate, detailed handover notes and PMS records for a seamless shift-to-shift transition.
· Uphold Roseate and SLH brand standards in grooming, presentation and guest interaction at all times.
· Remain flexible and hands-on, supporting the wider team during busy periods, VIP arrivals, or staff shortages.
· Contribute ideas that enhance the guest experience and support the hotel's reputation across guest review platforms.
· Ability to cover Night Shifts as per Operation Needs

Pay: £28,000.00 per year
